I was rear ended on my bike. The company insurance the most demanding drivers that the old parts be returned to them. I've never heard of this before, these are my parts purchased by me. Does anyone know if this is legal? I'm not trying to pocket money, but I want to keep some of the material to damaged plastic parts since it is an old bike and becoming difficult to find parts for. I dealt with two other insurance claims (1 bike, 1 car, and neither my fault) and they assessed the damage and cut me a check just one question.
